We offer our patients a unique healing experience that combines Traditional Chinese Medicine with mainstream modern medicine allowing us to provide care to the whole person: mind and body.
About the Founder of Bay Area Integrative Health Care
Deming Huang OMD, LAc, PhD
Dr. Huang is a highly skilled Oriental Medicine Doctor (OMD) who uses Traditional Chinese Medicine, combined with alternative treatments such as acupuncture and personalized herbal supplements, to help his patient's achieve both mental and physical wellness. Integrative medicine is used to treat the whole patient; mind and body.
Dr. Huang comes from a long line of family medicine doctors and is actually a third generation medical practitioner. He has a PhD in medical sciences and has been practicing medicine for over 20 years. His many years of experience, combined with his passion for integrative healing, allows him to offer his patient's an unparalleled and exceptional treatment experience. After consulting with his patients about their unique medical history and symptoms he creates a personalized and fully holistic integrative treatment plan.
Prior to opening BAIHC Dr. Huang spent over 17 years working for Stanford University Medical Center where he provided care to thousands of patients at Stanford's Center for Integrative Medicine and the Stanford Cancer Center. He also conducted multiple research studies through Stanford University's School of Medicine.

Researcher on a clinical study investigating the effects of acupuncture on patients with cystic fibrosis.

The purpose of this study was to observe patient responses to supplementary acupuncture treatment. The benefits included lowering pain levels, improving patient response to drug and therapy treatments, and enhanced the patients overall quality of life.

Researched patients undergoing IUI or IVF fertility treatment (Stanford IRB approved). This was the first Stanford formed acupuncture clinical study on Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The focus of the study was the benefits patients experienced from Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture treatments.

The study found that patients treated had an improved success rate for pregnancy and a decreased rate of miscarriage.
